Mathias Guayasamin is a PhD student in Université de Montréal’s Neuroscience program in Dr. Ciaran Murphy-Royal’s lab. His main interests are neuron-astrocyte interactions in amygdala circuits recruited during fear learning and the impact of early life stress in those circuits. Outside of work, Mathias is interested in the divulgation of science to the general public, making music and taking long bicycle rides.
